Scotch Racer is a private, independent concierge. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any distillery, château, brand, auction house or publication. Names such as Macallan, Yamazaki, Pétrus and others are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe the bottles we discuss.

Information on this site is not an offer to buy or sell alcohol. Any purchase, sale or placement is subject to separate written terms, to availability, and to the laws and licensing rules that apply where the bottle and the parties are.
Prices and valuations
Auction results shown on this site come from public sources and link to the original sale so you can check them. They are shown for information only. We take care to record them accurately but cannot guarantee that every figure is complete or error-free. Past auction results do not predict future prices, and whisky and wine are risk assets. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or investment advice.
Our offers
A free assessment is our opinion of a bottle’s market value at the time. Any offer we make, including a fast offer, is indicative and not a binding contract. It is subject to receipt of the bottle, physical inspection and authentication, and to proof that you own it and are entitled to sell it. Offers are valid for a limited period and may be revised or withdrawn if a bottle differs from its description. We may decline any purchase or enquiry.
The Members’ Vault
The Vault is a private catalogue of your own collection. Values shown there are indicative: verified figures are the median of the public auction results on our valuation page, and other figures are the values you enter. They are not offers or appraisals. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you add and must own, or be entitled to list, every item you list. Please upload only material you have the right to share.
In the Lounges, be courteous. Do not post links, phone numbers or other contact details, do not sell or solicit, and do not pretend to be Scotch Racer staff. We may hide messages and pause or end access to the Lounges, at our discretion, for anyone who breaks these rules.
The Scotch Racer Bar
Drinks at the Scotch Racer Bar are virtual. No alcohol is supplied or shipped. Complimentary drinks are limited per member per day. Premium pours are a digital experience paid in cryptocurrency at the price shown, are served once your payment is confirmed, and are non-refundable once served.
The Exchange and escrow
The Exchange lets members offer items to one another. When a seller accepts an offer, the buyer pays Scotch Racer the agreed price plus the buyer fee, in the cryptocurrency and on the network shown. We hold it in escrow and tell the seller to ship only once it has arrived. The seller ships insured, with tracking and an adult signature. We pay the seller, less the seller fee, only after the buyer confirms the item arrived as described, or after we resolve a dispute. Fees are shown before you commit, and are currently 4% from the buyer and 4% from the seller, with a minimum of $50 each. Network fees are paid by the sender.
The buyer and seller are the parties to the sale and are responsible for complying with the laws on selling, buying, importing, shipping and taxing alcohol and tobacco where each of them is, including age, licensing and customs rules. Cuban cigars cannot be traded with members in the United States. Scotch Racer may refuse, pause or cancel any listing or trade, and refund funds held in escrow, where we believe a trade cannot be completed lawfully or as described. Cryptocurrency sent to the wrong address or network may be lost and cannot be recovered by us.
Age and the law
You must be 21 or over to use this site. You are responsible for following the laws on buying, selling, importing and shipping alcohol where you are. We may decline any enquiry or transaction that we cannot complete lawfully.

Our news page and valuation results link to articles and auction listings on other websites. Those sites are run by others, who own their content, and we are not responsible for them.
